Front Desk Manager
Melissa Salazar’s first role with Krav Maga was assisting in the opening of Krav Maga Unyted in Downtown Los Angeles. In 2012, Chief Instructor Jarret Waldman, Chris Gors, Melissa Salazar, and a few others of the Front Desk Sales Team opened the doors to Krav Maga Unyted. In 2015, Chris Gors opened up Krav Maga Woodland Hills. Melissa joined forces with Chris to get Krav Maga Woodland Hills off the ground and running. Melissa took charge in the role General Manager of LYFE Fitness Complex, the original location of Krav Maga Woodland Hills. After a year of building the framework for a strong membership base, creating a solid team of instructors, and branding the name Krav Maga Woodland Hills, the studio on Ventura blvd was born.
Melissa is the Front Desk Manager at the new location of Krav Maga Woodland Hills and handles a variety of membership services support and operations including; new incoming prospects, membership sales, holds/cancellations, account billing, and anything else needed to help have the studio running smoothly. Melissa has a special love and passion for the Krav Maga community, including the members and staff. She says that the studio feels like a second home and when she’s here, it doesn’t feel like work. Melissa takes pride in giving a sincere warm welcome to every person that walks-in through the door and making sure they have a memorable experience when they’re in the studio training.
Melissa’s favorite classes are the Krav Maga classes for the self-defense and the HeavyBag 60 classes because of the intense workout. Melissa recently started training in Muay Thai. She also has been training in the gentle art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and working towards her blue belt! She enjoys learning how to take the fight to the ground and applying chokeholds to defeat her opponent.
